Betrayal, Love, and Langano (ZOMA Mag article 2)

Damn!

Dawit quickly shook Blen’s arm off of his. He saw the look on his girlfriend, Hanna’s face and it didn’t look too good. He hopped off of the minibus to greet her.

“Hey baby!” He softly kissed her on the cheek.

“Hey…you.” She tried her best to sound enthusiastic but failed.

“What’s wrong?” Knowing what’s bothering her, he just thought he should ask anyway. It wasn’t difficult to tell when Hanna was upset; for one thing, her facial expression says it all, and of course her voice. Continue reading

Betrayal, Love, and Langano (ZOMA Mag article)

Thursday was the most exciting day in Hanna’s life.

Thursday was the day, her father finally agreed to the Langano Trip that she’d been begging him about for years.

“Thank you, thank you; thank you!” She said to her father as she kissed his cheeks over and over again.

Mike just took his hand to shake, said nothing. He looked at Ahmed and studied him carefully. So this is the man who took my love away..? He looks fine, definitely rich. I hope her father’s happy.  Continue reading

Forbidden Love (Pt. 2)

Nee walked out of the coffee and stopped immediately. She felt her throat clump and couldn’t swallow. Her heart stopped and dropped to her feet. All kinds of memories swooped her off the feet without realizing it. Oh my God. It’s Mike.
She saw a group of guys next to him sitting outside the shop drinking soda. She recognized every single face.
“Oh my God, Nee!” One of the guys from the group called out to her, Teddy, she remembered. He was always one of her favorite guys in the crew. He got up instantly and hugged her tightly. “What the hell are you doing here? I haven’t seen u in years!” Continue reading

Well, you know how crazy my imagination is. (At least my sisters do) I honestly just write as I’m thinking and hoping that when you read it, you hear my voice, reading it for you somehow, wherever you are.

I love writing! Especially, short stories. Short stories are the best because unlike anything else I write about, people can’t really complain about it. YOU can’t disagree with me. You wanna know why? Because I made it up. Ha! Continue reading
